Yes, Dollar General sells Pokémon cards, mostly as in-store products. Its site lists Pokémon tins, blisters and the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box, but also a 10-card pack that DG says was repackaged by a third party, so not every item is a factory-sealed Pokémon pack. DG does not publish a restock day, and stock differs from store to store.
Does Dollar General sell Pokémon cards?
It does. When we checked on October 22, 2026, dollargeneral.com had product pages for a range of Pokémon trading card items. We found them through web search results and their direct links. DG's own Pokémon category page, which lists 13 items, showed plush toys, building sets and similar products, but no trading cards. So the card listings are easy to miss.
That means the best way to find out what your store has is to look on the shelf or ask. We cover how below.
What Pokémon cards does Dollar General list?
These are the Pokémon card products we read on dollargeneral.com on October 22, 2026. Prices are as listed with no store chosen, and they vary. Stock labels on the pages ("Out of stock," "5 in stock") were also shown with no store chosen, so they tell you nothing about your store.
| Product (as listed) | Price listed | What the listing says |
|---|---|---|
| 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box | $50.00 | 9 booster packs, a Nidorina promo card, sleeves, dice, a Pokémon TCG Live code card |
| 30th Celebration Poster Collection with Cards | $16.00 | Foil promo cards, a double-sided poster, booster packs |
| Gardevoir Strong Bond Tin | $15.00 | 1 foil card, 3 booster packs, a code card |
| Poke Ball Tin | Unclear | 3 booster packs, 1 coin or sticker sheet |
| Enhanced Blister, 2 ct | $5.00 | 3 promo cards, 2 booster packs, 1 coin, a code card |
| Mini Portfolio with Booster | $6.00 | A card binder for up to 60 cards, 1 booster pack |
| Sword & Shield Booster Pack, 10 ct | Unclear | "10 Random Pokemon Cards," "assorted styles based on warehouse availability" |
| Pokémon Trading Card Pack, 10 ct | Unclear | "Repackaged by MJ Holding" |
| Pokémon Trading Card Game, 15 Card Pack | $8.00 | "15 assorted Pokémon cards," one foil, one mini pack |
For three items, the price on DG's page was garbled (it read "$70.5" for the tin, for example), so we left those prices out. Ask at your store.
Sword & Shield is an older set family, so that pack is not a new release. Shelf prices may differ from these web prices, and we could not check any store.
Are Dollar General Pokémon cards official sealed product or repacks?
Some look official. Some are repacks. DG's pages do not label this clearly, so here is how to tell.
Look for a packager name. The 10-card pack page says "Repackaged by MJ Holding using cards from manufacturer and secondary market sources." DG calls the cards "authentic," but we could not check their condition or source. It is not a sealed booster pack made by The Pokémon Company. The cards were gathered and packed again by another company, and you do not pick the set.
Be careful with the "Evolutions 2" listing. One DG page is titled "Evolutions 2 Mini Booster Packs + 1 Bonus Card," but the text on it is the same MJ Holding 10-card description. When a title and a description disagree, trust the package in your hand.
The 15-card pack names no packager. Its listing says "15 assorted Pokémon cards," one guaranteed foil card and one mini pack from the "Trick or Trade" series. We could not tell who packed it.
Tins, blisters and the 30th Celebration box read like Pokémon's own product text. For example, the Elite Trainer Box page says it "will be available on September 16, 2026 where Pokémon TCG products are sold." We could not verify the maker of any item from the website alone, so check the box in the store.
Pokémon Support also says "if the price of a pack seems too good to be true, it probably is," and that "images of our products are available on our website."
Can you buy Pokémon cards from Dollar General online?
We could not confirm it. The 10-card pack page title ends with "Instore." DG's myDG Delivery page lists items like snacks, cleaning supplies and groceries, and does not mention trading cards. DG's product pages describe FedEx shipping for items that ship, but we could not tell whether any Pokémon card item does.
Treat Dollar General as an in-store stop. If you want something specific, see where to buy Pokémon cards.
How do you check if your Dollar General has Pokémon cards?
- Call the store. Ask if cards are on the shelf now, and where. Restockd says store-reported stock "doesn't guarantee a box is on the shelf" and suggests calling first.
- Set your store on dollargeneral.com. Its pages show a "My Store" spot at the top. Restockd advises checking the app before you go. We could not test how accurate the store stock numbers are, so treat them as a hint. The DG app page we read lists coupons, weekly ads, a shopping list and DG Delivery, and says nothing about card stock.
- Look in more than one spot. Restockd says to look at endcaps, sidewings and registers, and to ask whether the week's truck has been unloaded.
- Try nearby stores. Each store gets its own trucks and shelf plan.
When does Dollar General restock Pokémon cards?
Dollar General has not published a restock day for trading cards. Two trackers disagree on what stores see:
- Restockd (October 4, 2026) says "there's no restock day for the whole chain" and that "most stores get one truck a week from their distribution center, and the day depends on the store." It also says Dollar General "hasn't announced" the 30th Celebration schedule it describes, and that dates, prices and quantities can change. The schedule comes from a store arrival sheet that Restockd says it saw, and it did not say who provided it.
- MyPokeScan (undated) says "the most common restock days are Tuesday through Thursday" and that new product usually shows up within 24 to 48 hours of delivery. MyPokeScan sells a paid alert service.
The prices Restockd lists for the Elite Trainer Box ($50) and the Poster Collection ($16) match what DG's pages show. That does not prove the rest of the schedule. We found no major news coverage of Dollar General's Pokémon plans.
Is there a purchase limit on Pokémon cards at Dollar General?
We found no limit published by Dollar General for Pokémon cards. DG's terms say it can "limit the available quantities of the products" on its websites and apps. MyPokeScan says Dollar General "typically doesn't have formal purchase limits." That is a tracker's claim, and limits can change at any store.
Can you return Pokémon cards to Dollar General?
We could not confirm. Here is what we read.
- DG's terms (updated March 2, 2026) say "no returns of merchandise purchased online will be accepted at any time or for any reason at any Dollar General® retail store."
- A DG Brands FAQ says refunds with a receipt for items in "the original packaging are always given within 90 days of purchase," and that items returned without a receipt are exchanged for equal merchandise or a gift card. That answer is written for DG Brands products. Pokémon is not a DG brand, so it may not apply.
- DG's product pages say items that shipped to you can be returned within 30 days if unused, and that stores cannot take them back.
- We found no trading card exception. We could not read DG's Help Center page, which did not load for us.
Keep the receipt, keep packs sealed, and ask at the register before you buy a gift.
Are there Pokémon vending machines at Dollar General?
No. Official Pokémon TCG vending machines are almost all inside grocery stores such as Safeway, Kroger, Albertsons, Jewel-Osco, Fred Meyer and H-E-B. Our map lists 2,014 machines, and none are at Dollar General.
If your Dollar General is out, try the vending machine map and read when vending machines restock. For other stores, see where to buy Pokémon cards, plus our guides for Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Dollar Tree, CVS and Sam's Club. If you find cards at your store, report it so others know.

Common questions
Does Dollar General sell Pokémon cards?
Yes. Dollargeneral.com has product pages for Pokémon trading card items, including tins, blisters, a 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box listed at $50.00 and a 30th Celebration Poster Collection listed at $16.00. When we checked on October 22, 2026, we could not confirm that any of them can be shipped or picked up, so plan on buying in a store.
Are Dollar General Pokémon cards real?
Not every item is a factory-sealed pack. The listing for its 10-card pack says it was "Repackaged by MJ Holding using cards from manufacturer and secondary market sources." Read the package before you buy.
What day does Dollar General restock Pokémon cards?
Dollar General does not publish a restock day. The tracker Restockd said on October 4, 2026 that "there's no restock day for the whole chain" and that most stores get one truck a week on a day that depends on the store. Another tracker, MyPokeScan, says Tuesday through Thursday is most common. Neither is a Dollar General statement.
Can I return Pokémon cards to Dollar General?
We could not confirm. Dollar General's terms say merchandise bought online cannot be returned at a Dollar General store. The 90-day receipt return rule we found is written for DG Brands products. We found no trading card exception, but we could not read the Help Center page, so ask at the register before you buy.
