Does Costco sell Pokémon cards? What to know

Updated October 23, 2026 · By the Packs Near Me team

Yes, Costco sells Pokémon cards, almost always as bundles: several tins, mini tins or an Elite Trainer Box with extras in one box. But when we checked on October 23, 2026, a Costco.com search for "pokemon cards" (with out-of-stock items hidden) showed no Pokémon card products, and every Pokémon listing we opened was out of stock for our delivery area. Some bundles are sold only in the warehouse, and Costco.com does not show their stock. You need a paid membership to shop in the warehouse, and purchase limits vary by item.

Does Costco sell Pokémon cards?

It does. Costco sells Pokémon trading card products mostly as multi-pack bundles. Costco.com files them under Toys, then Trading Cards. CostcoFan, a fan tracker, says "There's no permanent shelf presence" and that drops can sell out within minutes to hours. Costco itself says nothing about this.

We read Costco's own listings and help pages on October 23, 2026, plus tracker reports. When a fact comes from someone other than Costco, we say who.

What Pokémon cards does Costco.com list?

On October 23, 2026, a Costco.com search for "pokemon cards" returned 77 results with out-of-stock items hidden, and none was a Pokémon card product. Costco.com still has pages for some Pokémon bundles. We opened three of them with our delivery ZIP set to 07302 (Jersey City, New Jersey) and our warehouse set to Bayonne.

Product (as listed) Price listed What the listing said
Pokemon 3-pack Paldea Partners Tins (item 1901714) "Sign In for Price" "Online Only," "Members Only," "Out of Stock." 15 booster packs, 3 foil promo cards, 3 code cards for Pokémon TCG Live. "Limit of 1 Transaction, with a Maximum of 2 Units Per Membership Per Day."
Pokémon TCG: Charizard ex Super-Premium Collection (item 1861371) $54.99 "Item out of stock for delivery at 07302." 10 booster packs and a card display figure of Charizard.
Pokemon Paldean Fates 5-pack Mini Tins + 4 Promo Cards (item 1839128) $39.99 "Out of Stock." Our warehouse showed "Not Sold In This Warehouse."

Costco.com also still has pages for other bundles, such as a Crown Zenith Elite Trainer Box with two tins ($79.99) and Scarlet & Violet 151 mini tin 5-packs ($39.99). We did not check whether those can be bought. Stock can differ by ZIP code and warehouse, so check with yours set.

The Paldea Partners listing says shipping by UPS Ground "is included in the quoted price."

What Pokémon bundles have trackers reported at Costco lately?

Costco's help page says "If a product is only sold in the warehouse, its availability will not be displayed online." Costco.com pages for the item numbers below did not load for us. So most of what we know about recent warehouse drops comes from trackers, not Costco. Treat it as reported, not confirmed.

Product Reported price Reported limit Source
Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box (single box, item #2022324) $42.99 2 per membership PullList (September 3, 2026) on the price and limit; CostcoFan on the item number and warehouse arrival
Ascended Heroes Mini Tin 2-Pack (10 mini tins and 10 promo cards, item #2007495) $76.49 1 per membership CostcoFan, which says it bought one
Ascended Heroes ex Box 3-Pack (item #1992235) $57.99 1 CostcoFan and TCG Drop Radar; CostcoFan calls it an online queue drop, and TCG Drop Radar (October 20) listed it as "Sold out"

PullList said the Ascended Heroes box is a single Elite Trainer Box and that posts calling it a "2-pack" were wrong. As of September, CostcoFan also wrote that a 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box and Booster Bundle combo was on its way, but called it "not officially confirmed by Costco yet." We found no Costco statement about it.

Do you need a membership to buy Pokémon cards at Costco?

In the warehouse, yes. Costco's help page on shopping passes says "you must be a paid member to enter the warehouse and purchase any other items," with exceptions such as prescriptions. Its member rules say you must "scan your membership card at the front door scanner."

Online, some items are open to non-members:

  • Costco's member rules say "Certain merchandise may be purchased online by members or nonmembers. A nonmember pays 5% more than members for such merchandise."
  • Costco.com says "Non-members cannot buy member only items."
  • Costco's help page says that to buy a Member Only item with a new membership, you must "complete your purchase of the membership prior to adding the Member Only Item to your shopping cart."

The Paldea Partners tins listing is marked "Members Only" and says "Sign In for Price." The other two listings we opened showed no such label. If you are not a member, check the listing before you plan a purchase.

Is there a limit on Pokémon cards at Costco?

Some items have one, and each item sets its own. Of the Costco.com Pokémon listings we opened, only the Paldea Partners tins showed a limit.

What Limit Source
Paldea Partners tin 3-pack "Limit of 1 Transaction, with a Maximum of 2 Units Per Membership Per Day" Costco.com listing
Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box 2 per membership PullList, CostcoFan
Ascended Heroes Mini Tin 2-Pack 1 per membership CostcoFan

Read the listing or the shelf sign for the item in front of you.

When does Costco restock Pokémon cards?

Costco has not published a restock day or time for Pokémon cards, and we found none on its pages. The trackers we read agree on that:

  • TCG Drop Radar (updated October 20, 2026): "We do not have a confirmed Costco Pokémon drop time."
  • PullList (September 3, 2026): "Costco has not announced anything publicly." It says a product loaded into Costco's system "is not a calendar date."
  • CostcoFan (updated September 2026) says Costco online drops "load at random" through a virtual queue that puts you in a "random position," so being early does not help.

TCG Drop Radar also says Costco usually has the most Pokémon stock from October to December. That is a tracker's pattern, not a promise.

How do you check if your Costco has Pokémon cards?

  1. Set My Warehouse on Costco.com. Costco says that for items sold both online and in the warehouse, you may see warehouse availability under the price once your warehouse is set.
  2. Get the item number. Trackers post item numbers for each drop. CostcoFan suggests looking up the number in the Costco app and asking an associate to scan it.
  3. Call the warehouse. Costco's help page says you can call your local warehouse and choose the phone menu option for Membership, or ask at the membership counter.
  4. Expect a crowd on a big drop. CostcoFan reports a short line before opening and, in one report, more than 50 people camping overnight for an Elite Trainer Box.

Costco also notes that "availability is subject to change" because it cannot predict how many members will buy the same item.

Can you return Pokémon cards to Costco?

Costco's return policy does not single out trading cards. It says Costco will "guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell, and will refund your purchase price," and then lists exceptions: electronics within 90 days, diamonds of 1.00 carat or larger, cigarettes and alcohol where the law says so, custom items, airline and event tickets, precious metals, Shop Cards and gift cards. Trading cards are not on that list. The policy adds "Limitations apply."

One Pokémon item is named on Costco's "Costco.com Self Service Return Exclusions" page: "Pokemon 151 Blooming Waters Premium Collection (Item #1916742)." For items on that list, Costco says to "contact us" or "visit your local warehouse." It does not say they cannot be returned.

Costco says items bought in a warehouse "need to be returned at the returns counter at any Costco warehouse," and items ordered online can be returned at a warehouse or through Costco.com. We could not confirm how each warehouse handles opened packs. Keep the box sealed until you are sure.

How do you tell sealed Pokémon products from resealed ones?

Before you leave the aisle:

  • The wrap should be tight and clean, with no re-taping or odd seams.
  • The box should name the set and what is inside, like "15 booster packs."
  • A bundle should match its listing or shelf sign.
  • If a price from a reseller outside Costco looks far too low, skip it.

Costco vs Sam's Club

Sam's Club is the closest match. Both clubs sell Pokémon mostly as bundles, both need a membership to shop in the club, and both set limits per item. One difference: the Sam's Club Pokémon listings we read in October said "No returns or exchanges," and Sam's returns page lists "Trading Cards (opened and unopened)" under "No returns." Costco's policy has no such line. See does Sam's Club sell Pokémon cards. For Walmart, read when Walmart restocks Pokémon cards.

Are there Pokémon vending machines at Costco?

No. Our map lists 2,014 official Pokémon TCG vending machines, and none are at Costco. Almost all are inside grocery stores such as Safeway, Kroger, Albertsons, Jewel-Osco, Fred Meyer and H-E-B. Find one on our vending machine map, and read when vending machines restock.

For more stores, see where to buy Pokémon cards, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Dollar General, Dollar Tree and Barnes & Noble. If you find cards at your Costco, report it so others know.

Common questions

Does Costco sell Pokémon cards?

Yes, mostly as bundles such as tin 3-packs, mini tin 5-packs and Elite Trainer Box combos. But on October 23, 2026, a Costco.com search for "pokemon cards" (with out-of-stock items hidden) showed no Pokémon card products, and the three Pokémon listings we opened were out of stock for our delivery area. Some bundles are sold only in the warehouse, and Costco.com does not show their stock. CostcoFan, a fan tracker, says they have no permanent shelf spot.

Do you need a Costco membership to buy Pokémon cards?

In the warehouse, yes. Costco's help page says "you must be a paid member to enter the warehouse and purchase any other items" besides prescriptions. Online, Costco says certain items can be bought by non-members for 5% more, and that non-members cannot buy items marked Member Only. The Paldea Partners tins listing is marked "Members Only."

Is there a limit on Pokémon cards at Costco?

Some items have one, and each item sets its own. The Costco.com listing for the Paldea Partners tin 3-pack says "Limit of 1 Transaction, with a Maximum of 2 Units Per Membership Per Day." Trackers reported limits of 1 or 2 per membership on this fall's Ascended Heroes items.

Can you return Pokémon cards to Costco?

Costco's return policy does not list trading cards as an exception. It guarantees "your satisfaction on every product we sell" with a list of exceptions such as electronics, gift cards and precious metals. One online Pokémon bundle is excluded from Costco.com self-service returns, so for that one you contact Costco or go to a warehouse.

When does Costco restock Pokémon cards?

Costco does not publish a restock day or time. Trackers say drops show up in warehouses and online without notice and sell out fast, so check the item number with your warehouse.
